Molecupedia:Spoken articles
Spoken articles are recordings of Molecupedia articles read aloud. The first is 53 minutes long and concerns, for the most part, a hole in a membrane.
Each recording is read from the text of one dated revision. Articles keep changing after that, so a recording can fall behind the page it came from; the box on the article gives the date of the revision that was read. A speaker icon at the top of an article means a recording exists.

How the recordings are made
The text is taken from the article as it stood on the recording date. References, tables, image captions, infoboxes and the lists at the end of the article are left out, and headings are read as short announcements. Some abbreviations are written out letter by letter (MR1 is read as "M R One"), and web addresses are read with "dot".
No person reads these recordings. The voice is a synthetic one named "Jane", from the ElevenLabs text to speech service, and each file page records the model used. Where the voice mispronounces a name, the article's spelling is the correct one.
